Temperatures rise between the months of June and August, which see an average high temperature of 29 degrees Celsius and an average low temperature of 20 degrees. The 8-mile (13km) walk down the gorge descends to the shores of the Libyan Sea, where you can choose to sail to the village of Sougia before returning to Chania city.
