Comparatively, you can get Orlando flight deals from here making an additional stop in Seattle with shorter durations (around 31h). Two-stop flights from Wellington also connect at Auckland and Los Angeles, with the same overall time of 31h 30min. Departures from Auckland airport offer the greatest variety in terms of connections. The ride by taxi is about 20min and they are located A-side and B-side of the terminal (Arrivals Area, Level 2) while the collection point for Uber, Wingz and Lyft transport is Arrivals curb, Level 2.
The US southern city of Orlando, Florida, needs little introduction as its name has been synonymous with world-famous theme parks for more than fifty years. Being a major convention and special events market further confirms its status as one of the biggest tourist destinations on the planet. Downtown Orlando is a nexus of major highways, with Interstate 4 being the main traffic artery. Vehicular traffic is endemic to the city, boosted by the huge volumes of yearly tourists and car hire companies that thrive here as a mini-industry unto itself. When it comes to family holidays and adventure, Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort reign supreme, although there are at least five others, including SeaWorld Orlando, to share the spoils. Beyond its theme parks, the Orlando Museum of Art and The Wheel at ICON Park Orlando are other main attractions. Arts and entertainment flourish here. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a film animation powerhouse, and the city hosts its own philharmonic orchestra, ballet, opera and several live performance venues, including the Dr. Phillips Centre for Performing Arts. Star Wars Weekends (May-June) and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival (September-November) are two highlights on the annual cultural events calendar.
To fly to Orlando, USA, New Zealand citizens will need a valid passport and a US ESTA travel permit, which is good for 90 days. Applications are processed online in about 30min generally, with fees around $ 14.00 (NZ$ 20).
