|Nov 2024They didn’t send a shuttle driver for over an hour, even though we called 5 times! On the fifth call, we were told that they didn’t even have the vehicle we reserved because we didn’t pre pay it. So, we went to Budget instead. The Ace rental office in Maui is absolutely terrible and I would suggest that you no longer represent them, as 4 other couples were having problems with being picked up at the same as us. Truly awful experience and wasted an hour and a half of our Hawaiian vacation.

They closed at 430, we landed at 530. couldn't get car until next day, I told office ahead of time that we wouldn't be there until next morning and when we arrived they said they canceled our car because no show. Very displeased, poor customer service. Had to zoom call and dealt with someone in CA. Workers in actual office were very nice and helpful, but not the "manager" in CA. Never again will I use them.

|Mar 2023Excellent customer service-Really helpful and friendly. I arrived early but check in staff worked with me to get me a vehicle right then. I appreciated that very much! Th woman at the counter was great! Drop off was so easy and the employee I dealt with there was a 10/10! Shuttle to airport was ready and waiting and the shuttle driver was also a 10/10! This is the second time I’ve used Ace and I am now sure I will be a regular customer when I travel to Maui.

|Aug 2023Hard sell on the upsell. Price almost doubled when they said I needed the mandatory insurance. Charged extra for my wife. Who charges for family members. Checkin was a nightmare with all the high pressure sales tactics.

People arriving late, having spent 6 hours on the plane, want to get to their lodging as soon as possible. Other than that a fairly easy and smooth process, appreciated an upgrade.

|Jul 2022We had easy pickup and drop-off. We upgraded to a convertible since there was a discount and I wanted to use one for our trip, but as soon as we agreed to the vehicle I feel like the representative stopped listening and didn’t answer a number of questions my husband and I had. She was like, “It’s fine, just get in, just get in!” Everything worked out in the end but it made the initial experience more stressful than necessary. If upgrades and deals are offered for very different names/models/sizes at the counter, some time should be allotted for customers to feel comfortable with their decision.

|Nov 2021Check in and out was great. Vehicle was in terrible shape with lots of scratches and dents. Front bumper was damage and was hanging down. Car smelled musty from probably wet carpet. Glad I took video before leaving because they accused me of damaging the step.

|Aug 2021The rental car started showing error messages and the check engine light a couple of days into the trip, so I stopped driving it immediately. I called the support number and the woman on the phone was nice but in a different time zone and confused about what rental places were open. They came out to tow the car but unfortunately I had to uber (they paid) back to the airport, which ate a couple of hours of precious vacation. I would have much preferred that they simply dropped off a new car.
