I reserved a truck at least a month in advance ..I called a week in advance and offered to pay for the rental ...two hours before I was to arrive they called me and told me they didn't have a truck so I called and found one at hertze at the last minute and had to pay over twice the money ....what a way to ruin a vacation

No rentals available at all, the representative at the pick up location said that they were overbooked by several vehicles each day and there was no management to speak to.

There was no one at the Avis counter when we arrived at the airport. There was no wind there at all they were closed so I rented from Hertz instead So, just for the record I couldn’t possibly read Avis any lower but I’d like to.

The fact that I could have obtained the insurance from AVIS which would have been easier to expedite a claim rather than a 3rd party insurance company. Thank God I did not need it! The next time I will go directly to AVIS!
